In the video, Sherry Turkle suggests that the modern society is having a crisis of empathy. Empathy refers to the ability by one individual to feel and understand what other people or another individual is experiencing (Turkle, 2015). In my opinion, lack of empathy has been partly due to some of the technologies that have been developed in the recent past that have reduced face-to-face communications and conversations.
