When it comes to quality nursing care, patient safety is a critical element that nurses must uphold. Nurses are arguably the people who spend more time with patients than anyone else at bedside. They are not only gatekeepers, but they also form a thin white line between patient experiences and outcomes and patient safety (Ballard, 2019).
