week 4 discussion
Art is a portrayal of the events that define human believes, cultures, politics and other realities. The techniques used have changed over time due to the kind of people, materials available and the styles appreciated by the audience to these artworks. Religious art, unlike all others, is the most famous in both the medieval and modern art. Artists at these periods were all focused on portraying the power of God in relation to the people who followed him. These paintings, sculptures and other techniques used were meant to spread Christianity amongst the people living in different periods and that explains its extensive influence up to date. The creation of Adam by Michelangelo carries the concepts of the modern Christianity views and humanism which differ from the Adam and Eve Reproached by God which represented the ancient perspective.
