Debate It: Take a position for or against this statement: A public sector agency should provide medical benefits to employees who choose to have surgery to change their sex. Provide at least two reasons and examples to support your position.

Solution Preview

The first news event is one which appeared on The Charlotte Observer on December 21, 2017. A transgender Bonjangles’ worker accused her bosses of harassing her, and now the company has been ordered to pay $15,000 to settle the matter. The transgender person was a former employee of the company’s restaurant located in Fayetteville. The initial complaint was filed in court by the U.S Equal Employment Opportunity Commission back in July 2016.
