Ethical Dilemma Discussion
You are hypothetically in a class where exams are almost impossible to do well on because of the level of difficulty of the questions. The exams are taken in a software application and questions are pulled from an international database. The test grades are curved by the software application based on student performance worldwide.
There is a strict no cheating policy at your school. Viewing an exam would clearly violate the school policy.
A copy of the next exam is circulating internationally (The database test administrator is aware that the exam is being circulated)
Ethical dilemma:
Note that if you get caught, there will be consequences at your school
- Will you be able to compete with the other students who have a copy of the exam?
- In the same way – can international firms based in the U.S. compete in highly corrupt countries when they must adhere to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and does this hinder economic growth in these countries?
- Respond to two posts made by other students
