Different compensation systems are in place at various workplaces. Selection of an appropriate compensation system is dependent upon the needs of the employees and those of the HR department (Heneman, 2014). The compensation system that I identified is known as pay-for-performance compensation system. The system is one where the remuneration given to employees is determined by their performance.
