The question about owning an electronic car revolves around acquisition and maintenance costs. While I would love to own an electric car because it does not emit carbon gases, it is relatively expensive than other car models. For example, Tesla’s cheapest electric car, the 220-mile version, costs $35,000 in the United States (Perez, 2019). The cost is higher the cheapest models of gasoline cars. For instance, 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback costs around $19,990 in the U.S., which makes it affordable to most people. At the same time, the best electric car available in the market is Tesla’s 300-mile model that costs $100,000.
