Abstract

In the past two decades, there has been remarkable improvements and developments in the healthcare industry. These improvements have mainly been due to increased research on various healthcare issues that affect the people. Technology has also changed the healthcare landscape. One of these improvements has been on organ donation and transplantation. In the past, if one was diagnosed with kidney disorders or failure, they were only expected to stay on medication and dialysis for the rest of their lives. However, it is now possible for an organ to be donated from their family members or strangers and this can help save the life of the patient.
