The film ‘But I’m a Cheerleader’ is a somehow comical movie that is based on understanding the issues that teenagers face when trying to establish their sexuality. This movie depicts a teenage girl who elicits all the characteristics of a heterosexual and yet she finds herself attracted to other girls. The movie hopes to analyze how people view sexuality in a wrong perspective. This is shown in how the family of the protagonist and her friends feel that they can reset her sexual orientation to change her back to the accepted heterosexual form.
