write two paragraph and a question
In your first paragraph: You do not have to paraphrase it line by line (although you
may), but tell us what you think it is about. What are some lines from it that
you especially like?
In your second paragraph: The Romantics (the first Hippies!) would say we should
never analyze poetry: we should let it move us, let it make us feel. So, how do you feel? What in your real life experience can you connect it to?

Poetry
The poem talks of the speaker’s personal confession to his friends about lack of religion and love. The poem is divided into three stanzas representing three nights with a different atmosphere and growing into a further restless night than the previous. In the first stanza, the author is praying illustrated by the bended knees in line 3 before going to sleep with an atmosphere of calmness and quietness. The author is not able to pray because of lack of faith but puts his trust in God as he presents his vulnerable state to God.
