Create a Whiteboard that represents your response to the following questions:
1. In the context of globalization, according to Steger, what are the two ways in which scholars tend to view what is happening to culture and cultural diversity?
2. Do you think that globalization means the spread of consumerist or materialist values? Given our discussion last week about the connections between justice globalism and the elimination of harmful cultural practices, do you see materialism/consumerism as a potentially harmful cultural practice that has become a “dominant meaning system of our age” (Steger, 2013:75)?
Please be sure to include in-text citations and use specific parts of texts to support your argument.
Export your Whiteboard #storyofstuff and #justiceglobalism under the category “Weeks 7-8: Multicultural education & justice globalism”.

Notably, overriding groups use the elements of the minor grouped culture for their personal gain in different fields such as drawings, music, and visual art. Consequently, cultural appropriation has been existence over the years due to power imbalances witnessed between the minority and majority groups.
