1. What does Riesman mean by the other-directed personality? How does it differ from the tradition-directed or inner-directed personality?
2.What effect does the media play in the development of the other-directed personality? Give examples.
3.How does education differ in tradition-directed, inner-directed, and other-directed cultures? Remember that education does not just mean schooling. It means the ways in which children are brought up and taught to deal with the world.
