Operation Supply Chain Management
In the US the process for getting and keeping a driver’s license is as follows:
Study the law à Get learner’s permit à Practice driving à Driver’s test, get license à DriveàAccident or get a ticketà Results (e.g., temporary loss of license) à drive à accident à
Analyze the above system from the perspective of quality costs. How does this system maintain driver quality (meaning drivers who don’t get into accidents)? What are the prevention and appraisal costs that this system incurs? How do they compare (in magnitude) with internal and external costs? If you were redesigning the system to improve driver quality without raising total system costs, what would you change?
(Note that in this as inmany otherservices, the customers (the drivers) are also part of the production process. So you can call “internal failure costs” the costs borne by the government plus the bad driver. External failure costs are costs that affect other drivers.)
include a graph or something like that. ( show a continuous cycle)

Problem 1
The DMV is the agency responsible for testing drivers on their ability and professionalism to operate vehicles according to the laws of the road. The main goal of the institution is to promote safety, service and security to citizens by giving them certification and approval to drive. The system is dominated by a procedure that the clients get the permits, practice, acquire the license, factors surrounding accidents and the end of driving for an individual (McFadyen, 2018). The system is responsible for the kind of quality activities that drivers engage in while on the road and for positive results, it is important to always regulate their actions. The DMV in association with road safety systems ensures that every driver follows the rules by offering appropriate training before issuing of a license. At the DMV, it is required for every individual to take a written and driving test for the purpose of proving their efficiency in observing the rules of the road (McFadyen, 2018).
