Question (CXU2a)
The Role of Theory in Research
Theory refers to the framework for observations that a researcher formulates in a bid to develop, predict and explain phenomena. This theoretical framework is what holds or supports a theory of research. Theories assert a connection between events through a generalized statement (Babbie, 2017). Approaches in research have different purposes depending on the level within which they operate.
