The article delves into the need for internal audit assistance so as to ensure that external audits are completed in time. Normally, internal audits are undertaken by current employees of an organization. Some of the processes involved can be tasking and challenging and this can lead to consumption of a lot of time. The authors suggest that it is imperative that assistance is sought for internal audits to avoid delaying external audits. External audits are conducted by independent auditing bodies for governmental or statutory purposes. External audits cannot be delayed and thereby such assistance would help overcome the time constraints that the organization may face.
