Create a strong topic; you can relate the essays to your life, your journey, the pitfalls you have faced and either overcome or struggled with.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE PAPER TO HELP YOU DEVELOP YOUR TOPIC:
Skip Downing’s “Adopting a Creator Mindset” and Joseph Campbell’s “The Self as Hero” are two Chapters from longer books. Each one gives the reader concrete information, examples and even warnings about what we need to do in order to be successful or find our purpose in life. Downing’s essay talks about the two Mindsets–Victim and Creator–and he breaks the important things students need to know and work on throughout the Chapter. Campbell’s Chapter outlines the steps of the Hero’s Journey from classic literature and shows us how these steps are still the same ones we need to follow and deal with in our lives. In your paper, discuss both of the essays; you may focus on one more than the other. Create a strong topic; you can relate the essays to your life, your journey, the pitfalls you have faced and either overcome or struggled with. Or you can discuss other people whose lives mirror the information in the Chapters. Another option is to write your own guide for life based on what you have experienced and even the mistakes you have made, and give examples that are clear and specific to help today’s reader master what needs to be done to have a successful life. Please write sources into the body paragraph from the two essays and support the sources.
