Palliative care in Saudi Arabia has grown significantly in the recent past (Alshammary, Anbar, Duraisamy, & Abdullah, 2014). However, its growth has been characterized by several challenges. Alshammary, Anbar, Duraisamy, and Abdullah (2014) reviewed these challenges and determined ways of addressing them. One of the ways of solving this problem is through education. Nurses, physicians, and other health professionals should be educated to equip them with knowledge of basic palliative care (p. 60).
